Privacy Policy

Summary — Online Temple has no sign-up or login. Your practice record, incense, pass and wardrobe stay on your phone. People in the same room see only your position, gestures and outfit, and the lantern names and roof-tile wishes you write are shown to everyone who visits that temple.
1. About this policy
The Online Temple team ("we") explains what information the mobile app Online Temple (com.onlinetemple.app, the "app") processes, why, for how long, and your rights.
2. What we do not collect
- Name, email, phone number or contacts — there is no sign-up or login.
- Chat, voice, photos, camera, microphone or precise (GPS) location — the app has no chat and does not ask for these permissions.
3. What stays only on your phone
- Your practice record (bows, mala rounds, pagoda walks), incense count, pass status, the outfits you own and wear, sound and language settings, and a randomly generated anonymous device ID.
- Deleting the app deletes them.
4. Information we process and why

All transfers use encrypted connections (HTTPS/WSS).
Lantern and roof-tile text
Lantern names and roof-tile text are public. Please do not write contact details, addresses or anything that hurts others. Banned words and contact details are blocked before posting; text reported from several places is taken down automatically, and we may also remove it after review.
Ads and consent
Google AdMob ads appear on some screens outside the hall, and the rewarded ad for incense is shown only when you choose it. There are no ads inside the hall, during chanting services or while you are seated. Users in the EU, UK and other applicable regions are asked for consent through Google UMP and can change it at any time. You can reset or delete your advertising ID or limit personalized ads in your phone settings.
5. Retention
- On your phone: until you delete the app.
- Position and gestures in a room: deleted when you leave the room.
- Lanterns: taken down when the chosen period ends. Roof tiles: kept as the temple's offering record; contact us to delete yours.
- Report records: up to 1 year after handling.
- Purchase records: kept by Google Play; transaction records required by law are kept for that period.
6. Sharing, processors and international transfer
We do not sell information. The information above is entrusted only to the listed services for the stated purposes; these services may operate outside your country (e.g. in the United States).

7. Children
The app is not directed to children under 14 (or the age set by your country's law), and we do not knowingly collect children's personal information.
8. Your rights
Deleting the app deletes everything stored on your phone. To delete a lantern or roof tile you offered, email us the temple, time and text. We will handle it without delay.
9. Changes
If this policy changes, we will post the new version here with its effective date.
